HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 82-19RESOLUTION NO.82-19 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,REQUESTING THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO AUTHORIZE TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE FUNDS PURSUANT TO SECTION 40-1102,ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES. WHEREAS,the Thirty-fifth Legislature,second special session of 1981 established a Local Government Transportation Assistance Fund from the proceeds of the Arizona State Lottery;and WHEREAS,the Director of the Arizona Department of Transportation shall determine the total amount of requests for Local Government Transportation Assistance Funds from Cities and Towns;and WHEREAS,these funds are to be distributed on a monthly basis by the State Treasurer to cities and towns requesting funds;and WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,has a population of 10,725 as determined by the Department of Economic Security,as of July 1,1981,and WHEREAS,these funds are to be used for transportation -related purposes. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA that the Arizona Department of Transportation i s hereby requested to take necessary steps i n authorizing Local Government Transportation Assistance Funds for the above mentioned transportation purposes. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 4TH DAY OF MAY ,1982 BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.
