A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN
APPLICATION FOR STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
FUNDS AND CERTIFYING THAT SAID APPLICATION MEETS LOW-AND
MODERATE -BENEFIT REQUIREMENTS OF THE STATE CDBG PROGRAM.
WHEREAS,the city of Apache Junction,Arizona,i s desirous of
undertaking community development activities;and
WHEREAS,the state of Arizona i s administering the Community
Development Block Grant Program;and
WHEREAS,the state CDBG program requires that at least sixty
percent (60%)of the CDBG funds requested benefit low-and moderate-
income persons for .community development activities justified and
benefiting low-and moderate -income persons;and
WHEREAS,a grantee of state CDBG funds i s required to comply with
program guidelines and federal statutes and regulations related to the
CDBG program,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the city of Apache Junction,
Arizona,application for state CDBG funds meets the requirements for
low-and moderate -income benefits for activities justified and bene-
fiting low-and moderate -income persons;and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city of Apache Junction,Arizona,
will comply with all state CDBG program guidelines,federal statutes
and regulations applicable to the state CDBG program and the assurances
contained in the application.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 18TH DAY OF MAY ,1982,
BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.
