HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD1097ORDINANCE NO.1097 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AMENDING THE APACHE JUNCTION CITY CODE,VOLUME II,LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE,CHAPTER 6, ARTICLE 6-1,LANDSCAPING AND SCREENING REQUIREMENTS; REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS,AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THAT: SECTION I IN GENERAL;AMENDMENT OF APACHE JUNCTION CITY CODE,VOLUME II,LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE That the Apache Junction City Code,Volume II,Land Development Code, Section 6-1-6 Site Organization and Development,Paragraph C. Miscellaneous Design Standards,be amended by adding new subparagraph 5 to read as follows: 5.Up to two-thirds of the exterior surface of each wall of buildings located in commercial or industrial zones may be covered by non- galvanized metal surfaces.At least one-third of the area of each exterior elevation shall include supplementary building materials such as masonry,stucco or brick.These materials shall be used in combination with architectural forms and detailing to give buildings an appearance of quality and permanency. SECTION I I REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference,are hereby repealed. SECTION III PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY I f any section,subsection,sentence,phrase,clause or portion of this ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference,is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.
