A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING A REGULAR GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
MAY 17,1983;ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES AND VOTING
DISTRICTS:PROVIDING FOR THE RECORDATION OF THE ELECTORS'
CHOICE;AND PROVIDING FOR ELECTION OFFICIALS.
WHEREAS,Arizona Revised Statutes §16-214 provides for the holding
of a General Election for the City of Apache Junction;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 DESIGNATION OF ELECTION DATES
That the General Electibn for the City of Apache Junction be held and conducted
on Tuesday,May 17,1983.
SECTION 2 DESIGNATION OF POLLING PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS
That Pinal and Maricopa County precincts be used and that voters residing i n
Pinal County Precincts 22A and 226 and Maricopa County Precinct Apache shall
vote at Superstition Mountain Elementary School,Ironwood Drive and Broadway
Avenue,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona;and that voters residing i n
Pinal County Precinct 22C shall vote at Apache Junction Junior High School,
Southern Avenue and San Marcos Drive,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona;
and that voters residing i n Pinal County Precincts 22D and 22E shall vote at
Community Christian Church,Superstition Blvd.and Valley Road,Pinal County,
Apache Junction,Arizona.
The polls shall be open on said date of the General Election from 6:00 a.m.
until 7:00 p.m.
SECTION 3 DESIGNATION OF ELECTION OFFICIALS
The following officers will be appointed to conduct the General Election on
May 17,1983,for Pinal County Precincts 22A and 226 and Maricopa County
Precinct Apache:
One Inspector
Two Judges
Two Clerks
One Marshal
The following officers will be appointed to conduct the General Election on
May 17,1983,for Pinal County Precinct 22C:
One Inspector
Two Judges
Two Clerks
One Marshal
The following officers will be appointed to conduct the General Election on
May 17,1983,for Pinal County Precincts 22D and 22E:
One Inspector
Two Judges
Two Clerks
One Marshal
I f any member should fail to appear,the City Clerk shall appoint a qualified
substitute.

Said members of the Election Board shall be compensated at the rate of
$4.00 per hour or not less than $30.00 per day,whichever i s greater.
SECTION 4 RECORDATION OF THE ELECTORS'CHOICE
Voting shall be by punch ballot.The City Clerk i s hereby authorized and
directed to cause the printing of punch ballots as set forth i n Title 16
of the Arizona Revised Statutes.

APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,THIS 19TH DAY OF
