RESOLUTION NO.83-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,ESTABLISHING A
TWO-WAY STOP ON JUNCTION AVENUE AND EAST 4th AVENUE
AT TOMAHAWK ROAD.
WHEREAS,i t i s i n the public interest to insure safe,effective,
and efficient traffic flow along public rights -of -way within the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona and
WHEREAS,new road construction necessitates modification to
the existing traffic controls,
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Apache Junction,ARizona,that a two-way stop be designated
at the intersections of Tomahawk Road and Junction Avenue,and Tomahawk
Road and East 4th Avenue,i n such a manner that Tomahawk Road will become
the through street,and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works i s
empowered and directed to initiate appropriate action to remove the stop
signs from Tomahawk Road and install stop signs on Junction Avenue and
East 4th Avenue accordingly.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May ,1983
by the Mayor and City Council of the City of'Apache Junction,Arizona.
