A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,REQUESTING CENTRAL ARIZONA ASSOCIATION OF
GOVERNMENTS TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE REGIONAL 208 AREAWIDE
WATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN TO INCLUDE APACHE JUNCTION.
WHEREAS,Central Arizona Association of Governments has prepared
a proposed amendment covering the Apache Junction area for the Regional 208
Areawide Water Quality Management Plan;and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,
has reviewed the proposed amendment to said Areawide 208 Plan and agrees
with the content;and
WHEREAS,Central Arizona Association of Governments has been designated
the Areawide Water Quality Management Planning Agency for Pinal and Gila counties
i n the State of Arizona;and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,
believes i t should be included on the said Areawide 208 Plan;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that i t does hereby request the Central Arizona
Association of Governments to consider amending the Regional 208 Areawide
Water Quality Management Plan to include Apache Junction by adding the amendment
as prepared by Central Arizona Association of Governments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City Clerk i s hereby directed to
send a certified copy of this Resolution to Central Arizona Association of
Governments prior to September 28,1983.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 6TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER ,1983
