A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,ESTABLISHING A PEDESTRIAN
CROSSWALK AND AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF PEDESTRIAN
CROSSWALK SIGNS IN PLAZA DRIVE,APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET
NORTH OF STATE ROUTE 88.
WHEREAS,i t i s i n the public interest to insure delineation of
a pedestrian crosswalk and install pedestrian crosswalk signs along public
rights -of -way within the City of Apache Junction,Arizona;and
WHEREAS,the present crosswalk has not previously been officially
recognized;and
WHEREAS,a traffic engineering study has determined that warrants are
satisfied i n accordance with the crosswalk policy manual as prepared by the
Arizona Highway Department.
NOW THEREFORE,be i t resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona,that a pedestrian crosswalk be designated and
pedestrian crosswalk signs be installed and maintained i n Plaza Drive
approximately 500 feet North of State Route 88.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3r d day of J u l y ,1984,by the Mayor
and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona.
