A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,SUPPORTING PASSAGE OF THE ONE-
HALF CENT SALES TAX BY APACHE JUNCTION AND PINAL COUNTY
VOTERS TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING,
IMPROVING AND MAINTAINING STREETS AND ROADS.
WHEREAS,as members of the Apache Junction City Council,we are vitally
interested in the progress of our community and the well-being
of all our citizens;and
WHEREAS,a wholesome community,attractive to residents,business and
industry,is only possible when the valued element of a safe
and efficient transportation system exists;and
WHEREAS,the means of establishing and improving our transportation
system i s available through the implementation of a one-half
cent (10 sales tax which would equally distribute the cost
of developing and maintaining this transportation to resident
and tourist alike;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,voicing our support for the approval
of the one-half cent sales tax and appealing to city and county voters
to show their support and commitment to the future by voting "YES"
for Proposition 300 at the Special County Election to be held on
December 10,1985.

APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 19TH DAY OF NOVEMBER ,1985.
