RESOLUTION NO.85-12
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,
CONDUCTING AND ACCEPTING THE OFFICIAL CANVASS OF VOTES
FOR THE CITY PRIMARY ELECTION HELD MARCH 26,1985.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,the Primary Election for the purpose of nominating and/or
electing members of the city council and for the purpose of placing two
propositions before the.voters of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,
was held on March 26,1985;and
WHEREAS,Arizona Revised Statutes 9-821.01 and Ordinance No.3
of the City of Apache Junction,provide for the election of candidates at
the Primary Election i f such candidates receive a majority of all votes
cast at the Primary Election;and
WHEREAS,in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes 16-642,a
Special Meeting of the City Council was held on April 1,1985,for the
purpose of canvassing the returns of the Primary Election;and
WHEREAS,the City Council did canvass the election returns at
said Special Meeting and did determine the official results of the Primary
Election to be as follows:
1.Total number of Absentee Ballots cast for all precincts:47
2.Total number of Absentee Ballots rejected for all precints:2
3.Total number of ballots cast in Precincts 22A/22B/Maricopa Apache:724
4.Total number of ballots rejected in Precincts 22A/22B/Maricopa Apache:1
5.Total number of ballots cast in Precincts 22C/22F:664
6.Total number of ballots rejected in Precincts 22C/22F:9
7.Total number of ballots cast in Precincts 22D/22E:368
8.Total number of ballots rejected in Precincts 22D/22E:3
Cumulative Totals for all precincts,including absentee ballots,are
as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to issue

in accordance with Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Apache Junction.
