A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,REQUESTING WITHDRAWAL OF THE CITY'S
APPLICATION TO THE STATE LAND DEPARTMENT FOR "DESIGNATION
AND RECLASSIFICATION OF STATE LANDS AS URBAN LANDS SUITABLE
FOR URBAN PLANNING"FOR STATE TRUST LANDS IN THE APACHE
JUNCTION AREA.
WHEREAS,the City Council directed the City Manager,through
Resolution No.84-64,to submit an application for "Designation and
Reclassification of State Lands as Suitable for Urban Planning"for State
Trust Lands in the Apache Junction area;and
WHEREAS,an application was prepared and submitted to the State
Land Department on January 7,1985 for reclassification of approximately
11,740 acres;and
WHEREAS,the City has been informed by the State Land Department
that they have re -assessed their position on large classifications and
have requested withdrawal of our application;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,requesting of the State Land Department
withdrawal of the City's application (Application #46-90793)for
"Designation and Reclassification of State Lands as Urban Lands Suitable
for Urban Planning"for State Trust Lands in the Apache Junction area.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 18TH DAY OF JUNE ,19 85 .
