A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,DECLARING THAT A PORTION OF SAN MARCOS DRIVE
AND VIRGINIA STREET AS DESCRIBED IN STREET ABANDONMENT CASE
AB -85-06 IS NO LONGER NECESSARY FOR PUBLIC USE AND IS HEREBY
VACATED.
WHEREAS,the requested abandonment i s a portion of the Dedicated Right—
of—way described as:
All that tract or parcel of land lying wholly within a portion of the
intersection of the right—of—ways of San Marcos Drive .,(Vella Drive)and
Virginia Street (Superstition Drive)adjacent to Lot 20 of Beaty Subdivision
located in Section 20,Township 1 North,Range 8 East of the Gila and
Salt River Base and Meridian,Pinal County,Arizona,i s recorded i n Book
of Maps 9 on Page 40 in the County Recorder's Office of Pinal County,
Arizona and being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 20;
Thence South 0 0 —13'East,a distance of 69.95 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve to the Southwest,and being the Point of Beginning;
Thence continuing South 00 —13'East,a distance of 6.55 feet to the beginning
of a tangent curve to the Southwest,said curve has a central angle of
90 0 —19',a radius of 18.40 feet,a tangent distance of 18.50 feet,and
a chord that bears South 44 °—56'-30"West,a distance of 26.09 feet;
Thence 29.00 feet along said curve to the end of curve;
Thence North 89°—54'West,a distance of 6.55 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve to the Northeast,said curve has a central angle of
90 0 —19',a radius of 25.00 feet,a tangent distance of 25.05 feet,and
a chord that bears North 44°—56'-30"East,a distance of 35.33 feet,
Thence 39.41 feet along said curve back to the True Point of Beginning.
WHEREAS,the abandonment requested,i f approved,would not leave a parcel
i n separate ownership without access to an established public roadway;and
WHEREAS,the streets described herein are classified as local streets;and
WHEREAS,the area requested for vacation has never been fully improved as
a public roadway and maintained by a local governing agency.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona,that the above—described parcel i s hereby
vacated as present or future public rights—of—way.

JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 20TH DAY OF AUGUST ,1985.
