A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,DESIGNATING THE ELECTION DATE AND PURPOSE OF
ELECTION;DESIGNATING THE DEADLINE FOR VOTER REGISTRATION;AND
DESIGNATING THE PLACE AND THE LAST DATE FOR CANDIDATES TO FILE
NOMINATION PAPERS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I DESIGNATION OF ELECTION DATE;PURPOSE
That March 17,1987,has been set as the time for holding the Primary
Election in the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,for the purpose of nominating
candidates for Mayor and City Council whose names shall appear on the ballot at
the General Election to be held on May 19,1987.Any candidates receiving a
majority of all the votes cast at the Primary Election will be declared elected
without running at the General Election.
SECTION I I DESIGNATING DEADLINE FOR VOTER REGISTRATION
Maricopa and Pinal County registration and voting lists will be used
for the municipal election.In order to be qualified to vote you must be
registered by January 26,1987.
SECTION III DESIGNATING DATE AND PLACE TOFILECANDIDATE NOMINATION FORM
Candidates seeking municipal office may obtain nomination paper and
other materials which must be filed by candidates at the City Clerk's Office,
beginning December 2,1986.Candidates must file nomination papers and other
nomination forms by 5:00 p.m.on January 2,1987, at the City Clerk's Office
in order for their names to appear on the Primary Election ballot.

ARIZONA,THIS 24th DAY OF November ,1986.

QUE LOS CANDIDATOS PRESENTEN LOS FORMULARIOS DE
NOMINACION.
SE RESUELVE, por el Alccalde y el Cabildo de la Diudad
de Apache Junction, estado de Arizona, como sigue:
SECCION I DESIGNACION DE LA FECHA DE LA ELECCION; PROPOSITO
Este el 17 de marzo de 1987, ha sido establecido como el
teimpo para celebrar la Eleccion Primaria, en la Ciudad de Apache
Junction, estado de Arizona, con el proposito de la nominacion de
candidatos para el 19 de mayo de 1987.Cualesquiera de los candi-
datos que reciban una mayoria de todos los votos emitidos en la
Eleccion Primaria seran declarados electos, sin que tengan que
participar en la Eleccion General.
SECCION II DESIGNACION DE LA FECHA LIMITE PARA REGISTRARSE
PARA VOTAR
Los registros y las listas para votar del Condado seran
usadas para la eleccion municipal.A fin de estar calificado para
votar, usted debe estar registrado para el 26 de enero de 1987.
SECCION III DESIGNANDO LA FECHA Y EL LUGAR PARA QUE LOS
CANDIDATOS PRESENTEN EL FORMULARIO DE LA
NOMINACION DE SU CANDIDATURA
Los candidatos que persigan un puesto municipal pueden
obtener los formularios de nominacion y otros materiales, que
deberan ser presentados por los candidatos en el oficina de los
Secretaria Municipal comenzando el 2 de deciembre de 1987.Los
candidatos deben presentar los formularios de nominacion para las
5:00 p.m.en el 2 de enero de 1987 en el oficina de los Secretaria
Municipal, a fin de que sus nombres aparezcan en la boleta de la
Eleccion Primaria.

APACHE JUNCTION, ESTADO DE ARIZONA, ESTE 24TH DIA DE
NOVEMBER ,1986.
