A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,DECLARING THAT CERTAIN FEDERALLY PATENTED
EASEMENTS AND DEDICATED PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY PURPOSES DESCRIBED
AS A PORTION OF BOWMAN ROAD AND CONESTOGA ROAD BETWEEN 20TH AVENUE
AND U.S.HIGHWAY 60 AND 20TH AVENUE BETWEEN CORTEZ ROAD AND BOWMAN
ROAD DESCRIBED IN STREET ABANDONMENT CASE AB -87-04 ARE NO LONGER
NECESSARY FOR PUBLIC USE AS A PRESENT OR FUTURE PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY.
WHEREAS,the requested abandonments and vacations are parcels of land
located in Section 27,Township 1 North,Range 8 East,Gila and Salt River
Base and Meridian,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona,and more partic-
ularly described as follows:
PARCEL NO.1 (Vacate Bowman Rd.-East half)
The West thirty-three (33')feet of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 27,lying South of the
Southerly right-of-way line of U.S.Highway 60-70-80-89.
PARCEL NO.2 (Vacate Bowman Rd.- West half)
The East thirty-three (33')feet of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 27,lying South of the
Southerly right-of-way line of U.S.Highway 60-70-80-89.
PARCEL NO.3 (Vacate 20th Ave.- North half,Conestoga Rd.- West half)
The South thirty-three (33')feet and the East thirty-three (33')feet
of the West half of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of
the Southwest quarter of Section 27,lying South of the Southerly right-
of-way line of U.S.Highway 60-70-80-89.
PARCEL NO.4 (Extinguish Conestoga Rd.-East half)
The West thirty-three (33')feet of the East half of the Southeast quarter
of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 27,lying
South of the Southerly right-of-way line of U.S.Highway 60-70-80-89.
PARCEL NO.5 (Extinguish 20th Ave.- North half)
The South thirty-three (33')feet of the East half of the Southeast
quarter of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section
27.
EXCEPT the East forty (40')feet thereof.
PARCEL NO.6 (Extinguish 20th Ave.-South half)
The North thirty-three (33')feet of the Northeast quarter of the
Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 27.
EXCEPT the East forty (40')feet thereof.

PARCEL NO.7 (Extinguish 20th Ave.-South half)
The East thirty-three (33')feet of the North thirty-three (33')feet
of the Northwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest
quarter.
WHEREAS,the abandonment requested,i f approved,would not leave a parcel
in separate ownership without access to an established public roadway
connecting such lands with another public roadway,or have access by a
Federally Patented Easement which may in the future be developed;and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,finds
that said Federally Patented Easements and Dedications for public rights -of -way
purposes as described herein,are classified as local streets on the Apache
Junction Street Classification Plan,and are no longer necessary for public
use as roadways;and
WHEREAS,said easements and dedications requested for abandonment have
never been improved as public roadways and maintained by a local governing
agency.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona,that the above -described Federally Patented
Easements and Dedications reserved for public rights -of -way purposes are hereby
abandoned and extinguished as present or future public rights -of -way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the abandonment and vacation of the public
rights -of -way has no effect on reservations for public utility easements.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA THIS 7TH DAY OF JULY ,1987.
