SECTION I
RESOLUTION NO.87-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,AUTHORIZING A RECALL
ELECTION TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 10,1987;ESTABLISHING POLLING
PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS;PROVIDING FOR THE RECORDATION OF THE
ELECTORS'CHOICE;PROVIDING FOR ELECTION OFFICIALS.
WHEREAS,i t is provided by law for the holding of a Recall Election for
the City of Apache Junction;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
DESIGNATION OF ELECTION DATE
That the Recall Election for the City of Apache Junction be held and
conducted on Tuesday,February 10,1987,for two city council positions.
SECTION I I DESIGNATION OF POLLING PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS
That Pinal and Maricopa County precincts be used and that the voters
residing in Pinal County Precincts 22A and 22B and Maricopa County Precinct
Apache shall vote at Superstition Mountain Elementary School,Ironwood Drive
and Broadway Avenue,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona;and that voters
residing in Pinal County Precincts 22C and 22F shall vote at Apache Junction
Junior High School,Southern Avenue and San Marcos Drive,Apache Junction,
Pinal County,Arizona;and that voters residing in Pinal County Precincts 22D
and 22E shall vote at Community Christian Church,Superstition Boulevard and
Valley Road,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona.
The polls shall be open on said date of the,ReAll Election from 6:00 a.m.
until 7:00 p.m.
SECTION III DESIGNATION OF ELECTION OFFICIALS
The following officers will be appointed to conduct the Recall Election
on February 10,1987,for Pinal County Precincts 22A and 22B and Maricopa
Precinct Aapche:One Inspector,Four Judges,Four Clerks,One Marshal,One
Alternate.
The following officers will be appointed to conduct the Recall Election
on February 10,1987,for Pinal County Precincts 22C and 22F:One Inspector,
Four Judges,Four Clerks,One Marshal,One Alternate.
The following officers will be appointed to conduct the Recall Election
on February 10,1987,for Pinal County Precincts 22D and 22E:One Inspector,
Two Judges,Two Clerks,One Marshall,One Alternate.
The following officers will be appointed to conduct the Recall Election
on February 10,1987,for all Pinal and Maricopa County absentee voters:One
Inspector,Two Judges,and One Alternate.
I f any member should fail to appear,the City Clerk shall appoint a
qualified substitute.
Said members of the Election Board shall be compensated at the rate of
$4.00 per hour or not less than $30.00 per day,whichever i s greater.
SECTION IV RECORDATION OF THE ELECTOR'S CHOICE
Voting shall be by punch ballot.The City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to cause the printing of punch ballots as set forth in Title 16
and Title 19 of the Airzona Revised Statutes.
