A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,
CONDUCTING AND ACCEPTING THE OFFICIAL CANVASS OF VOTES
FOR THE SPECIAL RECALL ELECTION HELD FEBRUARY 10,1987.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,the Special Recall Election for two positions on the
Apache Junction City Council was held on February 10,1987;and
WHEREAS,i n accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes §16-642,
a special meeting of the Apache Junction City Council was held on
February 17,1987,for the purpose of canvassing the returns of the
Special Recall Election;and
WHEREAS,the Apache Junction City Council did canvass the
returns at said special meeting and did determine the official results
of the Special Recall Election to be as follows:
1.The number of ballots cast by precinct:
Pinal County Precinct 22A,22B and Maricopa Apache:623 +17 absentees
Pinal County Precinct 22C and 22F:604 +10 absentees
Pinal County Precinct 22D and 22E:307 +7 absentees
2.The number of ballots rejected by precinct:
Pinal County Precinct 22A and 22B and Maricopa Apache:0
Pinal County Precinct 22C and 22F:7
Pinal County Precinct 22D and 22E:1
3.The total number of ballots cast and ballots rejected i n city:
Total number of ballots cast in city:1,560
Total number of ballots rejected in city:8
4.The number of ballots by precinct for each candidate:
