A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING A PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MARCH 17,1987;
ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS;PROVIDING
FOR THE RECORDATION OF THE ELECTORS'CHOICE;AND PROVIDING
FOR ELECTION OFFICIALS.
WHEREAS,i t i s provided by law for the holding of a Primary
Election for the City of Apache Junction;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties,
Arizona,as follows:
SECTION I DESIGNATION OF ELECTION DATE
That the Primary Election for the City. of Apache Junction be held and con-
ducted on Tuesday,March 17,1987 for three city council positions and one
mayoral position.
SECTION I I DESIGNATION OF POLLING PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS
That Pinal and Maricopa County precincts be used and that the voters residing
in Pinal County Precincts 22A and 226 and Maricopa County Precinct Apache
shall vote at Superstition Mountain Elementary School,Ironwood Drive and
Broadway Avenue,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona;and that the voters
residing in Pinal County Precincts 22C and 22F shall vote at Apache Junction
Junior High School,Southern Avenue and San Marcos Drive,Apache Junction,
Pinal County,Arizona;and that the voters residing in Pinal County precincts
22D and 22E shall vote at Community Christian Church,Superstition Boulevard
and North Valley Road,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona.
The polls shall be open from 6:00 a.m.until 7:00 p.m.on said date of the
Primary Election.
SECTION III DESIGNATION OF ELECTION OFFICIALS
The following officials will be appointed to conduct the Primary Election
on March 17,1987,for Pinal County Precincts 22A and 226 and Maricopa
County Precinct Apache:One Inspector,Four Judges,Four Clerks,One
Marshal and One Alternate.
The following officials will be appointed to conduct the Primary Election
on March 17,1987 for Pinal County Precincts 22C and 22F:One Inspector,
Four Judges,Four Clerks,One Marshal and One Alternate.
The following officials will be appointed to conduct the Primary Election
on March 17,1987 for Pinal County Precincts 22D and 22E:One Inspector,
Two Judges,Two Clerks,One Marshal and One Alternate.
The following officials will be appointed to conduct the Primary Election
on March 17,1987,for all City of Apache Junction Pinal County and
Maricopa County Precincts:One Inspector,Two Judges.
I f any official shall fail to appear,the City Clerk shall appoint a
qualified substitute.
Members of the Election Board shall be compensated at the rate of $4.00 per
hour or not less than $30.00 per day,whichever i s greater.All inspectors
shall be compensated at the rate of $4.50 per hour.All officials shall
be compensated i n the amount of $5.00 for attendance at the required
training session.

SECTION IV RECORDATION OF THE ELECTORS'CHOICE
Voting shall be by punch ballot.The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to cause the printing of punch ballots as set forth in Title 16
and Title 19 of the Arizona Revised Statutes.

OF APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,THIS 17TH
DAY OF FEBRUARY ,1987.
