Home My WebLink AboutRES 88-16RESOLUTION NO.88-16 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,RECOGNIZING ARIZONA EMERGENCY MEDICAL SYSTEMS, INC.,AS THE LOCAL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE COORDINATING SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES 36-2210. WHEREAS,Arizona Emergency Medical Systems,Inc.,(AEMS)currently plans and coordinates regional emergency medical services within Planning Regions I and V;and WHEREAS,Arizona Emergency Medical Systems,Inc.,offers emergency medical programs for the effective and coordinated delivery of emergency health care services;and WHEREAS,Arizona emergency Medical Systems,Inc.,has a governing board which includes local officials and citizen representatives. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1.That Arizona Emergency Medical Systems,Inc.,is recognized as the local emergency medical service coordinating system for Pinal,Gila and Maricopa Counties under the requirements of Arizona Revised Statutes §36-2210. SECTION 2.That Arizona Emergency Medical Systems,Inc.,is authorized and required to provide assistance,including planning,coordinating and financial assistance for programs and projects affecting local governments within the Central Arizona Association of Governments (CAAG)planning area. SECTION 3.That Arizona Emergency Medical Systems,Inc.,shall be required to report to the Central Arizona Association of Governments on a timely basis all actions undertaken in relation to local governments within the Central Arizona Association of Governments'planning area.
