HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 88-01RESOLUTION NO.88-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,SUPPORTING CONGRESSMAN MORRIS UDALL'S LEGISLATION FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND GRANT-IN-AID PROGRAM. WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction,Arizona provides recreation- al opporturlities to the residents of Apache Junction and as a provider of such services has relied on the Land and Water Conservation Fund for financial assistance to its program and; WHEREAS,efforts to obtain funding through the Land and Water Conservation Fund has produced a substantial amount of financial assistance allowing for the development of public recreation facilities and; WHEREAS,i t is recognized that without the Land and Water Conserva- tion Fund Program,many of Apache Junction's outdoor recreation facili- ties would not be available to our residents. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction supports and endorses new legislation intro- duced by Congressman Udall to continue and revitalize the Land and Water Conservation Program. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 19TH DAY OF JANUARY ,1988,BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.
