A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,ACKNOWLEDGING THE REQUEST OF THE
APACHE JUNCTION FIRE DISTRICT AND ENDORSING THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF ADDITIONAL STATE LAND LOCATED IN SECTIONS 1,
2,3,4,5,7,8,9,10,11,AND 12 OF TOWNSHIP ONE SOUTH,
RANGE EIGHT EAST,GILA AND SALT RIVER BASE AND MERIDIAN INTO
THE APACHE JUNCTION FIRE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS,the Apache Junction Fire District Board has requested that
the Apache Junction City Council endorse their proposed annexation of additional
State lands into the fire district boundaries;and
WHEREAS,Arizona Revised Statutes §48-262(F)stipulates that the City
Council must endorse this proposed annexation in order for the annexation to
proceed;and
WHEREAS,Arizona Revised Statutes §48-262(F)allows that such an
endorsement can be forwarded by the adoption of a resolution;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,endorsing the proposed annexation of all of
Sections 1,2,4,5,7,8 ,9,10,11,and 12 of Township 1 South,Range 8 East,
and all of Section 3 excepting the Southwest i of the Northeast i of Section 3,
Township 1 South,Range 8 East,Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian as indi-
cated on Exhibits "A"and "B"attached hereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THIS 7th DAY OF NOVEMBER ,1989.
