A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
AUTHORIZING ONE MORE SIGN FOR THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SOCIETY
CHURCH.
WHEREAS,said sign shall be for the purposes of displaying the times
and days of church services,and identifying the "Christian Science Society"
located on the following described property:
The North half of the North half of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter,Section 21,Township 1 North,Range 8
East,Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian,Apache Junction,Pinal County,
Arizona,except the East fifty feet (50')thereof per Docket 1540,Page 823
of records in the Pinal County Recorder's Office.
WHEREAS,satisfactory evidence has been received to indicate that the
requested sign does not present a potential hazard to vehicular and/or
pedestrian traffic;and
WHEREAS,satisfactory evidence has been received to indicate that the
requested sign is compatible in appearance with the existing structure and
surrounding development;and
WHEREAS,the requested sign meets zoning requirements for the height
and area (eight -foot [81 high;thirty-two [321 square -foot area)of a "low
profile"sign;and
WHEREAS,it is understood that the Conditional Use Permit may be
revoked by the City Council upon a finding that there has been material
noncompliance with any condition prescribed in conjunction with the granting of
the Conditional Use Permit;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that the Conditional Use Permit be approved
as described above pursuant to Section 21.43 of the Apache Junction,Arizona
Zoning Ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this resolution be adopted with the
following conditions:
1.The above -described sign must display the street address
number of the property,per requirements of Section 21.25.b.1.
of the Sign Code.
2.Final location of the above -described sign is subject to review
and approval by the Engineering Department to insure adequate
and safe site distances from the existing driveways.

3.The applicants must submit a landscape plan for an approximately
20 -foot -wide strip along the Tomahawk Road frontage and landscape
same strip at the point in time when the off -sites are required
to be put in.
