A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,REQUESTING A DELAY OF ROUTE TRANSFERS
IN GILA AND PINAL COUNTIES.
WHEREAS,several routes are being considered for transfer from the
Arizona Department of Transportation to local entities,and
WHEREAS,these local entities are being dealt with on an individual
basis rather than a route system basis,and
WHEREAS,these local entities do not have knowledge of plans by the
Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT)regarding future route transfers,
and
WHEREAS,the ability to implement regional transportation planning is
affected by this approach to route transfers,and
WHEREAS,a regional process for the acceptance and maintenance of
routes transferred must be developed by the various committees of the Central
Arizona Association of Governments;
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,support a delay of one year in the transfer of
routes.

MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.
