A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,DECLARING A COMMITMENT TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF WASTEWATER
FACILITIES FOR THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION.
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction applied on December 20,1988,to
the Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.)Construction Grants Program for
an Advance Allowance for wastewater facilities planning;and
WHEREAS,the City intends to be ready to receive a grant should monies
not be used by higher—ranked projects on the E.P.A.Construction Grants list;
and
WHEREAS,the City Council expresses a commitment to developing a waste—
water treatment and collection system:
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona,that the City will proceed with said construction
even i f grant funding becomes unavailable provided that a facilities plan
is approved by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and providing
the plan contains an implementable and affordable solution.

JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 21ST DAY OF FEBRUARY ,1989.
