A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,CONDUCTING AND
ACCEPTING THE OFFICIAL CANVASS OF VOTES FOR THE APACHE JUNCTION
PRIMARY ELECTION HELD MARCH 21,1989.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,the Apache Junction Primary Election for Mayor,three positions
on the Apache Junction City Council and a proposition for the continuation of
the Local Alternative Expenditure Limitation (Proposition 100),was held on
March 21,1989;and
WHEREAS,in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes §16-642,a meeting
of the Apache Junction City Council was held on April 4,1989,for the purpose
of canvassing the returns of the Apache Junction Primary Election;and
WHEREAS,the Apache Junction City Council did canvass the returns at said
meeting and did determine the official results of the Apache Junction Primary
Election to be as follows:
1.The number of ballots cast by precinct:
Pinal County Precinct 22A,22B and Maricopa Apache:799 + 62 absentees
Pinal County Precinct 22C and 22F:873 +20 absentees
Pinal County Precinct 220 and 22E:418 +34 absentees
2.The number of ballots rejected by precinct:
Pinal County Precinct 22A and 22B and Maricopa Apache:2
Pinal County Precinct 22C and 22F:6
Pinal County Precinct 22D and 22E:5
3.The total number of ballots cast and ballots rejected in city:
Total number of ballots cast in city:2206
Total number of ballots rejected in city:13
