A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
PINAL COUNTY,ARIZONA,RELATING TO TAXATION,LEVYING UPON THE ASSESSED
VALUATION OF THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,SUBJECT TO
TAXATION,AND WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
SL8706-1,A CERTAIN SUM UPON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS OF VALUATION SUFFICIENT
TO RAISE THE AMOUNT REQUIRED FOR THE ANNUAL EXPENSE OF THE SAID MUNICIPAL
STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS,the provisions of A.R.S.Section 48-616 requires the governing body
to levy taxes upon all property of a municipal street lighting improvement
district necessary to pay the annual expenses of said districts,and the City
Council of Apache Junction having adopted annual statements and estimates of
expenses of Municipal Street Lighting Improvement Districts as listed in SECTION I
of this Resolution,and
WHEREAS,the County o f Pinal is now the assessing and collecting authority
for the City of Apache Junction,the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a
certified copy of this resolution to the Assessor and the Board of Supervisors of
Pinal'County,Arizona.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache
Junction,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION I.FOR EACH STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT LISTED HEREUNDER,there is
hereby levied on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)of the assessed value of all
property,both real and personal,within the boundaries of said district,except
such property as by law be exempt from taxation,a tax rate sufficient to provide
a fund for the annual expense of each Street Lighting District listed hereunder,
of the City of Apache Junction for each year.

SECTION II.WHEREAS,the immediate operations of the provisions of this
resolution is necessary for the preservation of the public peace,health,safety,
and welfare,an emergency i s hereby declared to exist and this resolution shall be
in full force and effect from and after its final passage and adoption by the City
Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,this 1st day of August ,1989.
