A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,PROTESTING THE RECENT RATE
INCREASE REQUEST FILED WITH THE ARIZONA CORPORATION
COMMISSION BY CONSOLIDATED WATER UTILITIES,LTD.
WHEREAS,a substantial portion of the Consolidated Water Utilities
Ltd.,certificated area lies with the corporate limits of
the City of Apache Junction;and
WHEREAS,citizens residing in the Consolidated Water Utilities cer-
tificated area must rely on said company for delivery of
domestic water as a basic need;and
WHEREAS,the citizens of the City of Apache Junction believe that the
proposed rate increases are beyond their economic means and
are excessive for the quality of water service provided;and
WHEREAS,the members of the Apache Junction City Council believes it
to be in the best interest of the community for the Arizona
Corporation Commission to conduct a thorough hearing on the
proposed rate increase and to establish fair utility rates
based on economic factors and quality of service.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction, Arizona,that this Council does hereby protest the
proposed rate increase and respectfully requests that the members of the
Arizona Corporation Commission consider all factors before granting any
rate increase to Consolidated Water Utilities,Ltd.

APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 19TH DAY OF JUNE ,1990.
