A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE STATE
DEVELOPMENT FUND;ASSURING THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION'S COMMITMENT TO
PROVIDE MATCHING FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT OF NOT LESS THAN $10,000;AND
ASSURING THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION'S COMMITMENT TO ADOPT AND FUND
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM IF SUCH GRANT FUNDS
ARE AWARDED TO THE CITY BY THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE.
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
acknowledge the efforts of the State Department of Commerce and applaud the
implementation of the State Development Fund -Capital Improvements Program;and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction is desirous of becoming a
participant in this new program which is designed to provide assistance to
communities in the development of Capital Improvements Programs;and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction seeks to develop its first
comprehensive Capital Improvements Program.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona that we hereby make a commitment to fully
support the development of a Capital Improvements Program,to provide matching
funds for the grant in an amount of not less than $10,000,and to adopt and fund
implementation of the Capital Improvements Program i f such grant funds are
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 7TH DAY OF AUGUST ,1990,BY THE
MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.
