A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,SUPPORTING LEGISLATION THAT WILL CREATE AN ARIZONA
STATE UNIVERSITY EAST VALLEY CAMPUS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THAT:
WHEREAS,distance and travel time to a university affect the ability
of a student to receive an education;and
WHEREAS,the distance for Apache Junction area residents to the exist—
ing Arizona State University campus is far;and
WHEREAS,the siting of an East Valley Campus would be of economic
benefit and better allow Apache Junction area residents to receive an
education.
THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED the Mayor and Council of the City of Apache
Junction,Arizona,supports immediate legislation that will create and
Arizona State University East Valley Campus taking i t from a concept to
a reality.

JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 6TH DAY OF NOVEMBER ,1990.
