A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL
SYSTEM AS DEVELOPED BY KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL,INC., AND
ESTABLISHING THE APACHE JUNCTION CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction desires to improve the physical
quality of community life;and
WHEREAS,proper collection and disposition of solid waste is a
concern to the City and the general public health and welfare of its citizens;
and
WHEREAS, a clean environment contributes to the emotional,physical
and well-being of our citizens;and
WHEREAS, the Keep America Beautiful System, developed by Keep America
Beautiful,Inc.,will assist greatly in reducing the improper handling of waste
in our city,and thereby reduce litter.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION that the City Council hereby endorses the Keep America Beautiful
System,and supports the participation of the City of Apache Junction in the
System;and
FURTHER,in keeping with the design of the Keep America Beautiful
System,the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,hereby
recognizes the Apache Junction Clean and Beautiful Committee.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THIS 20TH DAY OF NOVEMBER,1990.
