A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,ESTABLISHING CHARGES AND POLICIES FOR CERTAIN
DOCUMENTS AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,Arizona Revised Statutes §39-121.01 requires that,during
regular office hours,public records be available for examination and
reproduction to any person so requesting;and
WHEREAS,Arizona Revised Statutes §39-121.03 provides for a verified
statement of intent of use of public records and provides for charging a
separate fee for those records used for commercial and non-commercial purposes;
and
WHEREAS,Arizona Revised Statutes §39-121.03 also provides penalties
for those persons obtaining public records for a commercial purpose without
indicating such purpose,for those persons who permit the public record to be
used for a different commercial purpose,and for those persons who obtain public
record for non-commercial purposes and use or knowingly permit the public record
to be used for a commercial purpose;and
WHEREAS,it is the intent of the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Apache Junction,Arizona,to provide access to items of public record within the
context of the law and to charge fees for reproduction of items of public record
and related services.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that charges for the reproduction of public
record and related services be established as follows:
1.For the reproduction and distribution of minutes to include minutes of the
Apache Junction City Council or the minutes of any city board or commission
required to produce minutes in accordance with the Arizona Open Meeting Law
(listed fees apply individually to City Council or each set of board or
commission minutes):
$50.00 annual subscription service fee
$.15 per page charge
Requesting party shall provide all necessary envelopes,self-addressed,
postage prepaid
All charges shall be payable in advance

2.For the reproduction and distribution of agendas to include regular meeting
agendas of the Apache Junction City Council and all City boards and
commissions required to provide agendas in accordance with the Arizona Open
Meeting Law:
$50.00 annual subscription service fee
$.15 per page charge
Requesting party shall provide all necessary envelopes,self-addressed,
postage prepaid
All charges shall be payable in advance
3.For the facsimile transmittal of documents pertaining directly to sales tax
payments to include applications for a state transaction privilege tax
number as issued by the Arizona Department of Revenue:
$5.00 per transaction
4.For items of public record issued for non-commercial purposes:
$.25 per page for those item which are three years old or less
$.25 per page in addition to a $10.00 per hour research fee for those items
which are older than three years
Minimum research fee of $10.00
5.For items of public record issued for commercial purposes:
$.50 per page for those items which are three years old or less
$1.00 per page in addition to a $10.00 per hour research fee for those items
which are older than three years
Minimum research fee of $10.00
6.Certification of documents:
$2.00 per page (Certifications shall be prepared only for city documents)
7.Copy service for personal copies:
$.15 per page
8.For the reproduction and distribution of the Apache Junction City Code:
$100.00 initial purchase cost
$50.00 annual subscription service fee
9.For the reproduction and distribution of Development Services materials:

10.Applicable charges for postage,envelopes and other necessary mailing
supplies shall be added to the basic costs as noted herein for those items
requested to be mailed.

MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.
