A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,FINDING IT NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE ADDITIONAL
ROADWAY,PUBLIC UTILITY AND/OR DRAINAGE RIGHT-OF-WAY ON 16TH AVENUE
AT THE INTERSECTION OF 16TH AVENUE AND MERIDIAN,AND DIRECTING THE
CITY ATTORNEY IN THE NAME OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,
TO CONDEMN PROPERTY NECESSARY AND CONVENIENT TO BE TAKEN FOR THE
IMPROVEMENTS,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,intend to authorize certain roadway,public utility and drainage
improvements on 16th Avenue at the intersection of 16th Avenue and Meridian
located within the City limits of Apache Junction,Arizona,and
WHEREAS,such improvements require the acquisition of additional roadway,
public utility and/or drainage right-of-way.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Attorney is hereby directed
to take such actions as are necessary for the condemnation of properties
described in Exhibit A which are necessary for such road,public utility and/or
drainage improvements.
WHEREAS,it is necessary for the preservation of the peace,health,and
safety of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,an emergency is declared to
exist,and this resolution shall be effectively immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City Attorney commence such action within
thirty (30)days of passage of this resolution.

AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.

EXHIBIT A
The South thirty feet (30') of the South half of the West half of
the Southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section 30, Township 1 North, Range 8 East of the Salt
River Base and Meridian, Pinal County, Arizona; together with
A twenty by twenty foot cutoff more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at the West quarter corner of said Section 30,
Thence easterly along the east -west mid -section line a distance
of 50.00';
Thence northerly along a line parallel to and 50.00' east of the
west section line a distance of 30.00' to the Point of Beginning;
Thence continue on said parallel line a distance of 20.00';
Thence southeasterly to a point which is 70.00' east of the west
section line and 30.00' north of the east -west mid -section line;
Thence westerly on a line parallel to and 30.00' north of said
mid -section line back to the Point of Beginning.
