A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,PROVIDING NOTICE OF THE REGULAR PRIMARY ELECTION;
ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS AND THE TIMES THAT
SUCH POLLS WILL BE OPEN;AND APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICIALS AND FIXING
THEIR RATE OF COMPENSATION.
WHEREAS,it is provided by law for the holding of a Primary Election;
and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council has by resolution called a Primary
Election to be held on March 19,1991.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION I DESIGNATION OF ELECTION DATE
That the City of Apache Junction Primary Election be held Tuesday,March 19,
1991,for the purpose of nominating candidates for the offices of Mayor and
three councilmembers.Any candidate receiving a majority of all of the votes
cast at the Primary Election will be declared elected without running at the
General Municipal Election.
SECTION I I DESIGNATION OF POLLING PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS
That Pinal and Maricopa County precincts be used and that the voters residing in
Pinal County Precincts 22A and 226 and Maricpoa Precinct Apache shall vote at
Superstition Mountain Elementary School,1700 W.Broadway,Apache Junction,
Pinal County,Arizona;and that the voters residing in Pinal County Precincts
22C and 22F shall vote at Apache Junction Junior High School,801 W.Southern,
Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona;and that the voters residing in Pinal
County Precincts 22D and 22E shall vote at Community Christian Church,1150 W.
Superstition Boulevard,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona.
The polls shall be open from 6:00 a.m.until 7:00 p.m.
SECTION III ELECTION OFFICIALS AND THEIR COMPENSATION
The following officers are hereby appointed to conduct the Primary Election:
Pinal County Precincts 22A and 226 and Maricopa Precinct Apache:One Inspector,
Four Judges,Four Clerks,One Marshal,One Alternate.

Pinal County Precincts 22C and 22F:One Inspector,Four Judges,Four Clerks,
One Marshal,One Alternate.
Pinal County Precincts 220 and 22E:One Inspector,Two Judges,Two Clerks,One
Marshal,One Alternate.
Absentee Board Officials (all Precincts):One Inspector,Two Judges.
Members of the Election Board shall be compensated in the following manner:
Inspectors:$75.00 per day (except Absentee Board Inspector)
Judges,Clerks,Marshals and Alternates:$70.00 per day (except Absentee Board
Officials)
Absentee Board Inspector:$35.00 per day
Absentee Board Judges:$30.00 per day
Attendance at mandatory training session for all board positions:$5.00
Attendance at Logic and Accuracy Test for selected positions:$5.00
Indian Translator as required by the Federal Voting Rights Act of 1964:$5.00
per hour plus 20e per mile travel reimbursement.
I f any election official shall fail to appear,the City Clerk shall appoint a
qualified substitute.

MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.

UNA RESOLUCION POR EL ALCADE Y EL CABILDO DE LA CUIDAD DE APACHE
JUNCTION,CONDADOS DE PINAL Y MARICOPA,ARIZONA,PROVEYENDO AVISO PARA
UNA ELECCION REGULAR PRIMARIA;ESTABLECIENDA LUGARES PARA VOTAR Y
DISTRITOS ELECTORALES Y LOS HORARIOS EN QUE DICHOS PUESTOS PARA VOTAR
ESTARAN ABIERTOS;Y NOMBRANDO OFICIALES PARA ELECCION Y AJUSTANDO SU
COMPENSACION.
POR CUANTO,es esto previsto por la ley para celebrar una Eleccion
Primaria;
POR CUANTO,el al calde y el cabildo de la cuidad de Apache Junction por
una resolucion convoca a una Eleccion Primaria ha celebrarse Marzo 19,1991.
AHORA,POR CONSIGUIENTE,SE RESUELVE por el alcalde y el cabildo,de la
Cuidad de Apache Junction,Arizona,como sigue:
SECCION I DESIGNACION DE LA FECHA DE LA ELECCION
Que la eleccion Primaria de la Cuidad de Apache Junction se celebre el Martes
Marzo 19,1991,con el proposito de nominar candidatos para los puestos de
Alcalde y tres miembros para el concilio.Cualiquier candidato que reciba una
mayoria de todos los votos emitidos en la Eleccion Primaria sera declarado
electo,sin que tenga que participar en la Eleccion General Municipal.
SECCION I I DESIGNACION DE LOS LUGARES PARA VOTAR Y DISTRITOS ELECTORALES
Que los distritos electorales de los candados de Pinal y Maricopa se utilicen y
que los votantes que residen en los distritos electorales 22A y 22B del condado
de Pinal y el distrito electoral Apache del condado de Maricopa votaran en
Superstition Mountain Elementary School,1700 W.Broadway,Apache Junction,
Arizona;y que los votantes que residen en los distritos electorales 22C y 22F
del condado de Pinal votaran en Apache Junction Junior High School,801 W.
Southern Avenue,Apache Junction,Arizona;y que los votantes que residen en los
distritos electorales 22D y 22E del condado de Pinal votaran en Community
Christian Church,1150 W.Superstition Boulevard,Apache Junction,Arizona.
Los lugares para votar estaran abiertos desde las seis de la manana (6:00 a.m.)
hasta las siete de la noche (7:00 p.m.).
SECCION III ELECCION DE LOS OFICIALES Y SUS COMPENSACIONES
Los siguientes oficiales por este medio son nombrados para diriger la Eleccion
Primaria:

Los distritos electorales 22A y 226 del condado de Pinal y para el distrito
electoral Apache del Condado Maricopa:Un Inspector,Cuatro Juezes,Cuatro
Secretarios,Un Oficial del eleccion,Un substituto.
Los distritos electorales 22C y 22F del Condado de Pinal:Un Inspector,Cuatro
Juezes,Cuatro Secretarios,Un Oficial del eleccion,Un Substituto.
Los distritos electorales 22D y 22E del condado de Pinal:Un Inspector,Dos
Juezes,Dos Secretarios,Un Oficial del eleccion,Un Substituto.
Los distritos electorales del Condados Pinal y Maricopa para boletas ausentes:
Un Inspector,Dos Juezes.
La compensacion de cada oficial se establece por la cantidad:
Inspector:$75.00 por dia (except°Inspector Para Boletas Ausentes)
Juezes,Secretarios,Oficiales del elecciones y Substitutos:$70.00 por dia
(excepto Oficiales Para Boletas Ausentes)
Inspector Para Boletas Austentes:$35.00 por dia
Juezes Para Boletas Austentes:$30.00 por dia
Ensenanza papa eleccion:$5.00
Examen de Logic and Accuracy para las boletas:$5.00
Un traductor:$5.00 por hora y numero de millas
Si algun miembro fallaria en presentarse y cumplir,la secretario de la Cuidad
debera nombrar un substituto.
Pasada y adopta por el Alcalde y el Cabildo de la Cuidad de Apache Junction,
Arizona,este February dia de 5 ,1991.
Signo y dar fe de este February dia de 6 ,1991.
