A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION, ARIZONA,VOICING OPPOSITION TO THE MARICOPA ASSOCIATION
OF GOVERNMENT'S (MAG)RECOMMENDATION THAT THE APACHE JUNCTION AREA
BE INCLUDED IN THE NON -ATTAINMENT AREA BOUNDARIES FOR CARBON
MONOXIDE AND OZONE REGULATION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION, ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction and the Apache Junction area lies
within the boundaries of Pinal County;and
WHEREAS,Apache Junction is presently an unclassified area and has not
been proven to be a source of emission pollutants;and
WHEREAS,there has been no documentation or data produced which would
verify that the Apache Junction area is a source of and contributing factor in
Maricopa County's air pollutant and emission problems;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,that the Apache Junction City Council hereby
concludes that i t is not i n the best interest of Apache Junction to be included
in the non -attainment area boundaries for the Maricopa County area.

MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.
