Home My WebLink AboutRES 91-21RESOLUTION NO.91-21 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,FINDING IT NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE ADDITIONAL ROADWAY AND/OR DRAINAGE RIGHT-OF-WAY ON SUPERSTITION BOULEVARD AND STARR ROAD AT THE INTERSECTION THEREOF,AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY IN THE NAME OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA, TO CONDEMN PROPERTY NECESSARY AND CONVENIENT TO BE TAKEN FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona have previously authorized certain roadway and drainage improvements at the intersection of Superstition Boulevard and Starr Road located within the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,and WHEREAS,such improvements require the acquisition of additional roadway and/or drainage right-of-way. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Attorney is hereby directed to take such actions as are necessary for the condemnation of properties described in Exhibit A which are necessary for such road and/or drainage improvements. WHEREAS,it is necessary for the preservation of the peace,health,and safety of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,an emergency is declared to exist,and this resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City Attorney commence such action within thirty (30)days of passage of this resolution.
