A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN
THE "MAIN STREET"PROGRAM.
WHEREAS,the Arizona Main Street Program has been created
to assist cities to develop a public -private effort to revital-
ize their Main Street areas and two cities will be selected to
participate in the program in 1992.
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction desires to partici-
pate in the Arizona Main Street Program.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,that the City of Apache
Junction apply for selection to participate in the Arizona Main
Street Program with the specific goal of revitalization of the
Central Business District within the context of the preservation
and the Main Street four point approach to economic revitalization.
SECTION 1.THAT THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION will adopt the four
point Main Street Approach as followed by the State of Arizona
Main Street Program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 16TH DAY OF JUNE ,4992.
