A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION, ARIZONA,PROVIDING NOTICE OF THE REGULAR GENERAL ELECTION;
ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS AND THE TIMES THAT
SUCH POLLS WILL BE OPEN;AND APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICIALS AND
FIXING THEIR RATE OF COMPENSATION.
WHEREAS,it is provided by law for the holding of a General Election;and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council has by resolution called a General
Election to be held on May 18,1993.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION I DESIGNATION OF ELECTION DATE
That the City of Apache Junction General Election be held Tuesday,May 18,1993,
for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices of mayor and two
council members.
SECTION I I DESIGNATION OF POLLING PLACES AND VOTING DISTRICTS
That Pinal and Maricopa County precincts be used and that the voters residing in
Pinal County Precincts 42 and 43 and Maricopa Precinct Apache shall vote at
Superstition Mountain Elementary School, 1700W. Broadway, Apache Junction, Pinal
County,Arizona;and that the voters residing in Pinal County Precincts 44 and
47 shall vote at Apache Junction Junior High School,801 W.Southern Avenue,
Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona;and that the voters residing in Pinal
County Precincts 45 and 46 shall vote at Community Christian Church,1150 W.
Superstition Boulevard,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona.
The polls shall be open from 6:00 a.m.until 7:00 p.m.
SECTION III ELECTION OFFICIALS AND THEIR COMPENSATION
The following officers are hereby appointed to conduct the Primary Election:
Pinal County
Four Judges,
Pinal County
Marshal,One
Pinal County
Marshal,Two
Precincts 42 and 43 and Maricopa Precinct Apache:One Inspector,
Four Clerks,One Marshal,One Alternate.
Precincts 44 and 47:
Alternate.
Precincts 45 and 46:
Alternates.

Judges,Four Clerks,One
Judges,Two Clerks,One
Absentee Board Officials (all Precincts):One Inspector,Two Judges.
Members of the Election Board shall be compensated in the following manner:
Inspectors:$85.00 per day (except Absentee Board Inspector)
Judges,Clerks,Marshals and Alternates:$75.00 per day (except Absentee Board
Officials)
Absentee Board Inspector:$40.00 per day
Absentee Board Judges:$35.00 per day
Attendance at mandatory training session for all board positions:$5.00
Attendance at Logic and Accuracy Test for selected positions:$5.00
Indian Translator as required by the Federal Voting Rights Act of 1964:$6.00
per hour plus 25$ per mile travel reimbursement.
If any election official shall fail to appear,the City Clerk shall appoint a
qualified substitute.

UNA RESOLUCION POR EL ALCALDE Y EL CABILDO DE LA CIUDAD DE APACHE
JUNCTION,CONDADOS DE PINAL Y MARICOPA,ARIZONA,PROVEYENDO AVISO
PARA UNA ELECCION REGULAR GENERAL;ESTABLECIENDO LUGARES PARA VOTAR
Y DISTRITOS ELECTORALES Y LOS HORARIOS EN QUE DICHOS PUESTOS PARA
VOTAR ESTARAN ABIERTOS;Y NOMBRANDO OFICIALES PARA ELECCION Y
AJUSTANDO SU COMPENSACION.
POR CUANTO,es esto provisto por la ley para llevarse a cabo una Eleccion
General;
POR CUANTO,el alcalde y el cabildo de la Ciudad de Apache Junction por una
resolucion convoca a una Eleccion General ha llevarse a cabo el 18 de Mayo,1993.
AHORA,POR CONSIGUIENTE,SE RESUELVE por el alcalde y el cabildo de la
Ciudad de Apache Junction,Arizona,como sigue:
SECCION I DESIGNACION DE LA FECHA DE LA ELECCION
Que la Eleccion General de la Ciudad de Apache Junction se llevara a cabo el
Martes,18 de Mayo,1993,con el proposito de elegir candidatos para los puestos
de alcalde y dos miembros para el concilio.
SECCION I I DESIGNACION DE LOS LUGARES PARA VOTAR Y DISTRITOS ELECTORALES
Que los distritos electorales de los condados de Pinal y Maricopa se utilicen y
que los votantes que residen en los distritos electorales 42 y 43 del Condado de
Pinal y el distrito electoral Apache del Condado de Maricopa votaran en
Superstition Mountain Elementary School,1700 W.Broadway,Apache Junction,
Arizona;y que los votantes que residen en los distritos electorales 44 y 47 del
Condado de Pinal votaran en Apache Junction Junior High School,801 W.Southern
Avenue, Apache Junction, Arizona; y que los votantes que residen en los distritos
electorales 45 y 46 del Condado de Pinal votaran en Community Christian Church,
1150 W.Superstition Boulevard,Apache Junction,Arizona.
Los lugares para votar estaran abiertos desde las seis de la manana (6:00 a.m.)
hasta las siete de la noche (7:00 p.m.)
SECCION III ELECCION DE LOS OFICIALES Y SUS COMPENSACIONES
Los siguientes oficiales por este medio son nombrados para dirigir la Eleccion
Primaria:
Los distritos electorales 42 y 43 del Condado de Pinal y para el distrito
electoral Apache del Condado Maricopa:Un inspector,Cuatro Jueces,Cuatro

Secretarios,Un Oficial de Eleccion,Un Substituto.
Los distritos electorales 44 y 47 del Condado de Pinal:Un Inspector,Cuatro
Jueces,Cuatro Secretarios,Un Oficial de Eleccion,Un Substituto.
Los distritos electorales 45 y 46 del Condado de Pinal:Un Inspector,Dos
Jueces,Dos Secretarios,Un Oficial de Eleccion,Dos Substitutos.
Los distritos electorales de los condados de Pinal y Maricopa para boletas
ausentes:Un Inspector,Dos Jueces.
La compensacion de cada oficial se establece por la cantidad:
Inspector:$85.00 por dia (excepto Inspector de Boletas Ausentes)
Juezes,Secretarios,Oficiales de Elecciones y Substitutos:$75.00 por dia
(excepto Oficiales de Boletas Ausentes)
Inspector de Boletas Ausentes:$40.00 por dia
Jueces de Boletas Ausentes:$35.00 por dia
Asistencia obligatoria al entrenamiento para los oficiales de la eleccion:$5.00
Asistencia a la prueba de Logica y Exactitud para las posiciones:$5.00
Un traductor indigena es requerido por la Acta Federal de Derechos para Votar de
1964:$6.00 por hora mas 25$ por cada milla viajada.
Si algun oficial fallara a presentarse y cumplir,la Secretaria
nombrar un substituto.

ARIZONA,EL DIA 6 DE ABRIL ,1993.
