A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA.EXPRESSING CONCERN ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE
CENTRAL ARIZONA IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE DISTRICT (CAIDD) AND URGING
THAT THE PINAL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS GIVE DUE CONSIDERATION TO
THE POSSIBLE RAMIFICATIONS RESULTING FROM AN IRRIGATION TAX LEVY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,the Central Arizona Irrigation and Drainage District (CAIDD)is one of
the two largest districts in Pinal County:and
WHEREAS,the financial stability of the CAIDD has far-reaching implications
throughout all of Pinal County:and
WHEREAS,the Pinal County Board of Supervisors should exercise due care and
consider all legal, economic and social impacts in establishing an irrigation tax
levy for the CAIDD.
THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache
Junction, Arizona, that in taking action on a tax levy for the CAIDD,the Pinal
County Board of Supervisors give careful consideration to the possible impact of
the tax levy and its implications for all taxpayers and political subdivisions
throughout Pinal County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THIS 5TH DAY OF JULY ,1994.
