A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Apache
Junction authorizing the submission of an amendment to
Commerce CDBG Contract #148-92 and authorizing the Mayor
to sign a Contract Amendment.
WHEREAS,the City Of Apache Junction has entered into a Contract with the
Department of Commerce to perform certain duties funded by Community Development
Grant funds;and
WHEREAS,said Contract is known as Commerce CDBG Contract #148-92;and
WHEREAS,funding exists from other sources to maintain a commitment to the
community need of providing a program that upgrades existing single family, owner
occupied dwellings to Housing Quality Standards,and
WHEREAS,the City desires to commit $215,000 of funding to a program that
will assist and allow one hundred single family,owner occupied households to
make an affordable connection to a community wide sewer system currently being
constructed in Apache Junction,and
WHEREAS,the City has discussed this community need in public hearings
during the fiscal year 1994 CDBG Application cycle,and
WHEREAS,the City desires to have a nine month extension of the period of
time to complete all activities of this contract.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the City submit a request for such an
amendment of said contract,and that the Mayor be authorized to sign a formal
Contract Amendment pertaining to such Activities.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Apache Junction this
17th day of January 1995.
