A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,REQUESTING THE ARIZONA
DEPARTMENTOFTRANSPORTATIONTOAUTHORIZETRANSPORTATION
ASSISTANCE FUNDS PURSUANT TO SECTION 28-2602,ARIZONA
REVISED STATUTES.
WHEREAS,the Thirty-fifth Legislature,second special session of 1981,
established a Local Transportation Assistance Fund from the proceeds of the
Arizona State Lottery;and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Arizona Department of Transportation shall determine
the total amount of requests for Local Transportation Funds from Cities and
Towns;and
WHEREAS,these funds are to be distributed on a monthly basis by the State
Treasurer to cities and towns requesting funds;and
WHEREAS,these funds are to be used for the following purposes:
TRANSPORTATION: Any transportation purposes including operating and
related capital purposes.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, that the Arizona Department of Transportation is hereby
requested to take necessary steps in authorizing local Transportation Assistance
Funds for the above -mentioned purposes.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THIS 2ND DAY OF MAY ,1995.
