A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR
FY 1996 HOME AND STATE HOUSING TRUST FUNDS; CERTIFYING
THAT SAID APPLICATION MEETS THE COMMUNITY'S HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEEDS AND THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
STATE HOME AND HOUSING TRUST FUND PROGRAM;AND
AUTHORIZING ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT AND
COMPLETE THE ACTIVITIES OUTLINED IN SAID APPLICATION
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction is desirous of
undertaking affordable development activities; and
WHEREAS, the State of Arizona is administering the State HOME
and Housing Trust Fund Programs; and
WHEREAS,the State HOME and Housing Trust Fund Programs
require that HOME and Housing Trust Funds requested benefit low
income households; and
WHEREAS,the activity in the application addresses the
Community's low-income population housing needs; and
WHEREAS, a recipient of State HOME and Housing Trust Funds is
required to comply with the program guidelines, Federal Statutes
and regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Mayor and Council of
the City of Apache Junction authorizes application to be made to
the State of Arizona, Department of Commerce for FY 1996 State HOME
and Housing Trust funds,and authorize the Mayor to sign the
application and contract or grant documents for receipt and use of
these funds and authorize the Mayor to take all actions necessary
to implement and complete the activities submitted in said
application; and
THAT,the City of Apache Junction will comply with all HOME
and State Housing Trust Program guidelines,Federal Statutes and
regulations applicable to the State HOME and Housing Trust Fund
Program and the certifications contained in the application.
