HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 98-40RESOLUTION NO.98-40 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,OFFICIALLY ADOPTING THE JULY 1,1995 DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY POPULATION ESTIMATE FOR THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA. WHEREAS,the 1995 Arizona Legislature adopted Senate Bill 1020 thereby amending Laws 1994, Chapter 314,Section 1 authorizing any Arizona city, town or county to use as its population the July 1995 population as approved by the director of the Department of Economic Security Population Statistics Unit in lieu of conducting a special census:and WHEREAS,the July 1,1995 population estimate for the City of Apache Junction as determined by the Population Statistics Unit,Research Administration, Department of Economic Security and as approved by the Department of Economic Security Director on December 7,1995,was 19,525: NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona,that the population estimate of 19,525 as approved on December 7,1995, be officially adopted and that the City Manager be directed to use this population estimate in notifications,communications and other actions as may be necessary.
