A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,APPROVING THE FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT AND FINAL
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR RENAISSANCE PARK SUBDIVISION,CASE
SD -97-06,BY CANTERBURY COMMUNITIES,INC.
WHEREAS,the subdivider in case SD -97-06 proposes to subdivide 37.86
gross acres in the Southwest quarter area of Section 20,Township One North,
Range Eight East of the Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian,Apache
Junction,Pinal County,Arizona,into 138 residential lots pursuant to Article
6.2 of Chapter 4 of Title 9,Arizona Revised Statutes and pursuant to the
Apache Junction Subdivision Regulations;and
WHEREAS,the Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission held a
public hearing regarding the preliminary plat for SD -97-06 on June 24,1997,
and recommended denial of SD -97-06 by a vote of 6-0;and
WHEREAS,the Apache Junction City Council held a public hearing
regarding the preliminary plat for SD -97-06 on August 5,1997,and approved
said preliminary plat,per Resolution No.97-20,by a vote of 7-0;and
WHEREAS,this Council finds this proposed subdivision to comply with the
"Planned Area Development at 3 to 5 Dwelling Units per Acre"designation of
the Apache Junction General Plan;and
WHEREAS,this Council finds this proposed subdivision to be in
compliance with the Apache Junction Zoning Ordinance,the Apache Junction
Subdivision Regulations and Ordinance No.989,which approved the Planned
Development zoning and preliminary plan for the property;and
WHEREAS,this Council finds this proposed final plat for SD -97-06,
Renaissance Park,to be in substantial compliance with the approved
preliminary plat.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction, Arizona,that:
Said final subdivision plat for Renaissance Park Subdivision,case SD-
97 -06,and final Planned Development plan,which includes the improvements,
landscape and amenity plans,be approved.
