A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO.96-16,THE CROSSROADS REVITALIZATION AND
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT,PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON JUNE 4,1996.
WHEREAS,Title 36,Chapter 12,Article 3 of Arizona Revised Statutes Annotated
("A.R.S.")provide for redevelopment of certain areas within municipalities:
and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction City Council adopted Resolution 96-16 on
June 4,1996:and
WHEREAS,A.R.S.Title 36,Chapter 12,Article 3 was amended by Legislative
Action in 1997;and
WHEREAS,the 1997 amendments to A.R.S.Title 36,Chapter 12,Article 3 provide
for greater flexibility for municipalities in the administration of
redevelopment areas;and
WHEREAS,the 1997 amendments to A.R.S.Title 36,Chapter 12,Article 3 benefit
the City of Apache Junction in the administration of redevelopment areas.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA AS FOLLOWS:
That Resolution No.96-16,the Crossroads Revitalization and Redevelopment
District,be rescinded;and,that it be replaced with Resolution No.98-15,
the Crossroads Redevelopment Area,adopted by separate action of the Mayor and
City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona.
