A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,DECLARING AS A PUBLIC RECORD THAT CERTAIN
DOCUMENT FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK AND ENTITLED "APACHE JUNCTION
CITY CODE,CHAPTER 7 BUILDING,"AND DECLARING AS A PUBLIC RECORD
THAT CERTAIN PUBLISHED COMPILATION OF RULES OR REGULATIONS
PREPARED BY TECHNICAL TRADE ASSOCIATIONS FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK
AND ENTITLED UNIFORM BUILDING CODE,1997 EDITION,VOLUMES 1,2 AND
3,UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE,1997 EDITION,UNIFORM FIRE CODE,1997
EDITION,VOLUMES 1 AND 2,NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE,1999 EDITON,
UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE,1994 EDITION,UNIFORM CODE FOR THE
ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS,1997 EDITON,UNIFORM SIGN CODE,
1997 EDTION,"ARIZONANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT,"AND ITS
IMPLEMENTATION RULES,AND "AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES FOR BUILDINGS AND FACILITES."
WHEREAS,Arizona Revised Statutes Annotated (hereinafter "A.R.S.")§9-802
permits municipalities to enact the provisions of a code or public record
theretofore in existence without setting forth such provision as long as the
adopting ordinance is published in full and at least three copies of the code
or public record are filed in the office of the clerk of the municipality and
are made available for public use and inspection:and
WHEREAS,pursuant to A.R.S.§§9-801(1)and 9-802,such codes include health.
safety and welfare rules or regulations;and
WHEREAS.City staff has identified several such codes herein,and i t is the
intent of the City to declare such documents and compilations as public
records,on file in the office of the City Clerk.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA AS FOLLOWS:

1.That certain document entitled "Apache Junction City Code,Chapter 7
Building,"three copies of which are on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,is hereby declared to be
a public record,shall be made available for public use and inspection.
and shall remain on file with the City Clerk.
2.That certain publication entitled "Uniform Building Code,1997 Edition,"
Volumes 1,2,and 3,as published by the International Conference of
Building Officials,three copies of which are on file in the office of
the City Clerk of the City of Apache Junction.Arizona,is hereby
declared to be a public record,shall be made available for public use
and inspection,and shall remain on file with the City Clerk.
3.That certain publication entitled "Uniform Fire Code.1997 Edition,"
Volumes 1 and 2,as published by the National Fire Protection Agency,
three copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,is hereby declared to be a public
record,shall be made available for public use and inspection,and shall
remain on file with the City Clerk.
4.That certain publication entitled "National Electrical Code,1999
Edition."published by the National Fire Protection Agency,as published
by the International Conference of Building Officials,three copies of
which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Apache
Junction,Arizona,i s hereby declared to be a public record,shall be
made available for public use and inspection,and shall remain on file
with the City Clerk.
5.That certain publication entitled "Uniform Plumbing Code,1994 Edition,"
as published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical
Officials,three copies of which are on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona.is hereby declared to be
a public record,shall be made available for public use and inspection,
and shall remain on file with the City Clerk.

6.That certain publication entitled "Uniform Code for the Abatement of
Dangerous Buildings,1997 Edition,"as published by the International
Conference of Building Officials,three copies of which are on file in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Apache Junction.Arizona,is
hereby declared to be a public record,shall be made available for
public use and inspection,and shall remain on file with the City Clerk.
7.That certain publication entitled "Uniform Sign Code,1997 Edition,"as
published by the International Conference of Building Officials,three
copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona,is hereby declared to be a public record,
shall be made available for public use and inspection,and shall remain
on file with the City Clerk.
8.That certain publication entitled "Uniform Mechanical Code,1997
Edition,"including Appendix A,Appendix B,Appendix C.and Appendix D,
as published by the International Conference of Building Officials,
three copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,is hereby declared to be a public
record,shall be made available for public use and inspection,and shall
remain on file with the City Clerk.
9.That certain documents entitled "Arizonans With Disabilities Act,"and
its Implementing Rules,and "Americans With Disabilities Act
Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities,"three copies of
which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Apache
Junction,Arizona,are hereby declared to be a public record,shall be
made available for public use and inspection,and shall remain on file
with the City Clerk.
10.That certain publication entitled "Uniform Administrative Code
Provisions for the National Electric Code,1999 Edition."as published
by the International Conference of Building Officials,three copies of
which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Apache
Junction,Arizona,is hereby declared to be a public record,shall be
made available for public use and inspection,and shall remain on file
with the City Clerk.
