A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GPA-99-01,A REQUEST TO REDESIGNATE
AN 11,776 NET SQUARE -FOOT PROPERTY,LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 105 FEET WEST OF THE
NORTHWEST CORNER OF N.THUNDERBIRD DRIVE AND W.ROOSEVELT STREET,FROM MD
(MEDIUM DENSITY)TO MD/MHO (MEDIUM DENSITY WITH A MANUFACTURED HOME OVERLAY/1
TO 6 DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE).
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council,on June 16,1987,did adopt the
1987 Apache Junction General Plan;and
WHEREAS,the Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission held a
public hearing regarding GPA-99-01 on August 24,1999:and
WHEREAS,the Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission recommended
approval of GPA-99-01 by a vote of 6 to 0;and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council has complied with the requirements
for the preparation and adoption of a General Plan Amendment pursuant to
Arizona Revised Statutes Annotated Section § 9-461.06;and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council makes the following Findings of Fact
required by Section D.1.6 of the 1987 Apache Junction General Plan to support
the approval of GPA-99-01:
1)The Manufactured Home Overlay applied to the existing Residential Medium
Density Designation on the subject property appears to be consistent with
the Community Goals and Objective of the General Plan of removing the
effects of a current land use incompatibility.
2)The Amendment will not adversely impact the community as a whole or the
neighborhood by altering existing land use patterns,traffic,or the health
and safety of the residents.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona,that:
GPA-99-01,a General Plan Amendment request to redesignate from Medium
Density to Medium Density with a Manufactured Home Overlay,be approved and
adopted,for the following legally described property:

Lot 2,BIXVILLE HOMES,according to Book 7 of Maps,page 49,
records of Pinal County,Arizona.
Except the East 101.74 feet thereof.
