A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR .AND CDONCIL OF THE CITY OF APACK
JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICW_QOUNTIES,ARIZONA,DECLARING AND
ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE PR1MAk ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 9,1999.
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction, Pinal and Maricopa Counties, Arizona,
did hold a primary election On Vie 9th day of March,1999,for the
nomination/election of a Mayor and three aincilmembers:and
WHEREAS,the election returns have been presented to and have been
canvassed by the city council.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION 1.That the total number of ballots cast at said primary election,
as shown by the poll lists,was 1,267.
SECTION 2.That the number of ballots to be verified was 17,and that
voters found to be ineligible were 3.
SECTION 3.That the votes cast for the candidates for Mayor were as
follows:
Coleman,Douglas 977
De Elena,Jose 99
Fisher,Elliott 173
SECTION 4.That the votes cast for the candidates for Councilmember were:
Durbala,Joe 717
Furnari,Joseph A.303
Surra,Anne Marie 859
Urich,Carol 821
Waldron,David 698
SECTION 5.That i t is hereby found,determined and declared of record,
that the following four candidates did receive more than one-half of the total
number of valid votes cast and are hereby issued certificates of election:
Mayor.
Coleman,Douglas
Council member
Durbala,Joe
Surra,Anne Marie
Urich,Carol

SECTION 6.This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY thOlaYor and Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,this 16TH day of MARCH ,1999.
