WHEREAS,the Apache Junction City Council did,on Jytie 16,1987,adopt the 1987 Apache Junction General Plan;and WHEREAS,the Apache Junction Planni0604 ZoOng Commission held a public hearing regarding GPA-98-03 on January 20,104/and WHEREAS,the Apache Junction denial of GPA-98-03 by a vote of 4W102;apti nd Zoning Commission recommended WHEREAS,this Council ha complied with the requirements for the preparation and adoption of a kwneval P an Amendment pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes Annotated Section 9 Lei .06.and WHEREAS,this Coun Amendment is necessar preservation of c9mmun safety,convenien WHEREAS,t Section D.1.6 of of GPA-98-03: that the action taken on this General Plan und and orderly community development,for es and for the promotion of the general health, re of the citizens of Apache Junction;and ounpl makes the following Findings of Fact required by 19,07 Apache Junction General Plan to support the approval 1.The develoment pattern contained in the Land Use Plan inadequately provides appfopriate optional sites for the use proposed in the amendment; 2.That the Amendment constitutes an overall improvement to the General Plan and is ot solely for the good or benefit of a particular land owner or owner at a particular point in time; 3.Ptit the amendment will not adversely impact the community as a whole or portion of the community by: Significantly altering acceptable existing land use patterns; RESOLUTION NO.99-09 PAGE 1 OF 3 Requiring larger and more expensive improvements to roads,sewer or water systems than are needed to support the prevailing land uses and which,therefore,may impact development of other lands; Adversely impacting existing uses because of increased traffic on existing systems;or Affecting the livability of the area or the health and saitty of the residents; 4.That the amendment is consistent with the overall intent'of this General Plan.
