A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
PINAL COUNTY,ARIZONA,RELATING TO TAXATION,LEVYING UPON THE ASSESSED
VALUATION OF THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION.SUBJECT TO
TAXATION,AND WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
SL 9712-1,A CERTAIN SUM UPON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS OF VALUATION
SUFFICIENT TO RAISE THE AMOUNT REQUIRED FOR THE ANNUAL EXPENSE OF THE SAID
MUNICIPAL STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT.
WHEREAS,a Resolution Order Work for a Street Light Improvement District
for Ironwood Estates subdivision.No.99-21 was approved by the Mayor and City
Council on June 15,1998:and
WHEREAS,the provisions of Arizona Revised Statutes Annotated ("A.R.S.")
§48-616(C)requires the governing body to levy taxes upon all property of a
municipal street lighting improvement district necessary to pay the annual
expenses of said districts,and the City Council of Apache Junction having
adopted annual statements and estimates of expenses of Municipal Street Lighting
Improvement Districts as listed in SECTION I of this Resolution,and
WHEREAS,Pinal County is the assessing and collecting authority for the
City of Apache Junction,and the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a
certified copy of this resolution to the Pinal County Assessor,the Pinal County
Recorder and the Clerk of Pinal County Board of Supervisors and to the Director
of the Arizona Department of Revenue.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION I.FOR EACH STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT LISTED HEREUNDER,there is
hereby levied on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed value of all
property,both real and personal.within the boundaries of said district,except
such property as by law be exempt from taxation,a tax rate sufficient to provide
a fund for the annual expense of each Street Lighting District listed hereunder,
of the City of Apache Junction for each year.
