HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 00-19RESOLUTION NO.00-19 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,APPROVING THE FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT AND FINAL PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR ARIZONA GOLDFIELD SUBDIVISION,CASE SD -98-03,BY KAUFMAN AND BROAD OF ARIZONA,INC. WHEREAS,the subdivider in case SD -98-03 proposes to subdivide 40 gross acres in the Southwest quarter area of Section 34,Township One North,Range Eight East of the Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian,Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona,into 296 residential lots pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.),Title 9,Chapter 4,Article 6.2,and pursuant to the Apache Junction City Code,Volume II,Land Development Code,Chapter 1,Zoning Ordinance,Article 19 Planned Development Zoning District,and Chapter 2, Subdivision Regulations;and WHEREAS,the Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing regarding the preliminary plat for SD -98-03 on December 22,1998,and recommended approval of SD -98-03 by a vote of 6 to 1;and WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council of Apache Junction held a public hearing regarding the preliminary plat for SD -98-03 on February 2,1999,and approved said preliminary plat,per Resolution No.99-05,by a vote of 6 to 1;and WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council finds this final plat to be consistent with the High Density Residential designation,at six to eighteen dwelling units per acre,of the 1987 Apache Junction General Plan and amendments thereto;and WHEREAS,this Council finds this proposed subdivision to be in compliance with the Apache Junction City Code,Volume II,Land Development Code,Chapter 1, Zoning Ordinance and Chapter 2,Subdivision Regulations,and Ordinance No. 1046,which authorized the Planned Development zoning and preliminary plan for the property;and WHEREAS,this Council finds this proposed final plat for SD -98-03,Arizona Goldfield,is in substantial compliance with the approved preliminary plat. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that: RESOLUTION NO.00-19 PAGE 1 OF 2 1)The final subdivision plat for Arizona Goldfield is hereby approved. 2)The final Planned Development plan,which includes the improvements, landscape and amenity plans,is hereby approved. 3)Staff is directed pursuant to A.R.S.§9-463.01(J)to record the final plat with the Pinal County Recorder and to collect the final plat recording fee from the subdivider and remit such amount to the Pinal County Recorder.
