A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION TO
ALLOCATE JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO
PINAL COUNTY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND STAFF TO TAKE ANY AND ALL
STEPS NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS,pursuant to federal law and as implemented through the State of
Arizona Governor's Office,the City of Apache Junction (hereinafter "City")
receives funds for the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant (hereinafter
("JAIBG");and
WHEREAS, under the JAIBG,the City may allocate its funds to another public
entity which has a greater need for the funds;and
WHEREAS, the City has been notified by the Governor's Office that the City
is eligible for $8,617 i n JAIBG funds;and
WHEREAS,the City wishes to allocate these funds to Pinal County since
Pinal County has a juvenile enforcement program already in place and has a
greater need for the funds at this time.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City of Apache Junction hereby approves the allocation
transfer of $8,617 of JAIBG funds to Pinal County.
Section 2.The Mayor and staff are hereby empowered to execute any
documents and take any steps necessary to accomplish the allocation transfer.

ARIZONA,THIS 3RD DAY OF SEPTEMBER ,2002.
