A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION, PINAL COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION TO THE
ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR THE COMMUNITY
TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSESSMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Arizona Legislature has appropriated funds to the Arizona
Department of Commerce for the purpose of conducting Community
Telecommunications Assessments; and
WHEREAS, a Community Telecommunications Assessment will serve to further
economic and community development in the City of Apache Junction; and
WHEREAS, a Community Telecommunications Assessment is in the best
interest of the residents of the City of Apache Junction; and
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction has designated in -kind services to
complement the Community Telecommunications Assessment; and
WHEREAS, Pinal County will represent the City of Apache Junction and other
entities as the primary applicant to the Arizona Department of Commerce;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, PINAL COUNTY, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1:That an application for the Community Telecommunications
Assessment Program be submitted to the Arizona Department of Commerce by Pinal
County on behalf of the City of Apache Junction and other entities.
Section 2:That the grants coordinator be authorized to submit the above-
described application for the Community Telecommunications Assessment Program to
the Arizona Department of Commerce.

OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, SIGNED AND ATTESTED TO THIS 5TH
DAY OF NOVEMBER ,2002.
